Balshaw Safety provides competent Fire
Risk Assessments:
New Fire Safety laws mean that all
non-domestic premises in the UK will need an independent Fire Risk
Assessment in place by October 2006.
Fire safety was traditionally
assessed by the local Fire and Rescue Service. An Officer would be
sent to a workplace to carry out an inspection and to produce a
'Fire Certificate', which was a document describing all the fire
safety risks and controls relevant to the premises.
Many Fire and Rescue Services
stopped providing Fire Certificates several years ago, in the
knowledge that in 2006 the responsibility would pass to individual
employers.
From October, Fire and Rescue
Officers will be able to enforce fire safety law. If they
inspect your premises and find you have no Fire Risk Assessment,
they can take enforcement action which may result in your
workplace being closed down.
Balshaw Safety is currently
undertaking a large number of Fire Risk Assessments for Retained
Clients.
How can we help?
Balshaw safety can carry
out a fixed price Fire Risk Assessment for any premises - big or small - with discounts
available to Retained Clients.
As part of the assessment, we
provide a Fire Risk Management Toolkit which is customised for
your premises, and will allow you to manage fire safety on an
ongoing basis.
